Wallbox or portable charger: a selection note for importers

A wallbox is a fixed installation: the installer determines the supply, the enclosure is selected for the mounting location, and the cable is usually integrated. It suits residential and commercial sites where the vehicle returns to the same bay.
A portable unit is a travel product. It is carried by the driver and used with whatever supply is available, so the enclosure must tolerate handling and the cable assembly becomes the wear item.
The commercial consequence is different too: a fixed installation is specified once and repeated, while a portable product competes on handling detail, packaging and replacement-part availability. Both are quoted on request, per specification.
